A tutorial

Good day Stampers, I have a simple card for you today. I am sometimes unable to achieve a simple and elegant look as I like to play with my Stampin’ Up merchandise. But I think I have hit the spot today. Today’s card is on Whisper White and uses the “Beautiful Butterflies” die on pg. 206 of the IBC.  If you want to see a larger picture just click to enlarge.

I started with my card stock cut at 4 ¼” x 11 and scored at 5 ½”

I cut out my butterfly with the Big Shot and the Butterflies die and then using Stazon and Elements of Style I stamped on the Butterfly
This is what it looks like stamped

I then colored with markers, using a lighter color and then moving on to a darker color to achieve shading on the flowers.

I added a couple of Rhinestones to the middle of the completed butterfly and two dimension dots to the center of the butterfly.
To finish off I attached the butterfly to the card and added my sentiment in Black Stazon

Well that’s it for today.  Hope you like it.  I’m off to the craft room to finish preparing for a workshop tomorrow.  Embossed hugs.
