TGIF And I really mean it!

Hi there Stampers!

Thank goodness it is Friday 'cause I don't think I can handle another week like this one.  I have been working all week on some craft sale goodies and banners and oh loads of other things.

I have some orders that I am trying to catch up with and one of them if for some banners.  I have two more to do so stay tuned.

Today's post is one of the banners and it is for a little baby girl who is only four months old.  The Grandmother wanted it done in Pink and Purple.  I tried to make a banner that would grow with the little one so didn't use cutie punch art.  lol.

I went with Butterflies and Flowers.  Wait until you see it!

Here you go -

I used Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo for my colour choices.  I did the letters in Silver Glimmer paper, after all what girl doesn't like her bling.  

These are the spacers.  I used Watercolour Wings and Petite Petals and the Build a Bird punch for the leaves.  I added another Silver Butterfly cut out in Silver Glimmer Paper.  Rhinestones are centered in the flowers.  Very girly and glittery.

A close up of the Butterfly.  Done in Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant ink.  Hard to see the glitter of the added butterfly.  But if you click on the picture you will be able to see it better.

The other two banners will be for boys!  You just know I'm gonna have trouble with that lol.  Had to do the Angel's one first!

It's Banner Time!

Hey there Crafty Peeps,

Yes don't fall over, another post from me!  You can consider yourselves lucky cause it's nuts here!  Just getting back from camping and cleaning out the trailer.  Of course the house, well let's just say, better left unsaid. 

And of course the craft room is suffering from an overload of new merchandise from the new catalog (posted on the right hand side of this post, hint hint).  Where do I start?  Well, I make a to do list then I ignore it lol

When the phone rings and a friend needs a banner, well Katherine to the rescue!  And that brings us to my share for today.  A beautiful banner for a Birthday party!  I loved doing this!  Have a little gander -

 

 I chose the colors, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate and Basic Black.  These colors work really well together.

 

 

This Big Shot die is retired but I use it so frequently that I will hang on to it for dear life.lol

 

This is a close up of some of the details.  I used two roses for the beginning and the end of the banner.

 

And one rose to make a spacer between the words.  I used retired DSP for the Black element.  I sponged the flower with Pool party and added some pearls and Rhinestones.  You can't see them here, but trust me, they are there.

 

 

So that's it for me today!  Clearing out the craft room - don't stand under a window cause you might get beaned lol.

Punch Art Birthday for Emily!

Hey there Stampers!

Well it's lovely and warm here and I'm back and forth to our camper!  I come home every so often to take care of business and make a post!

The other day I promised to show you what has been keeping me busy, well today I am going to show you!  Emily, my granddaughter, is turning three in August and I will be in Ottawa for that!  My daughter called and asked me to do a few decorations for that and of course whatever she wants I can make happen lol.

Emily chose a Monster's Inc.  theme for her birthday decorations and she wanted Purple!  Here is one of the banners I finished for her! -

I used various punches to achieve this banner!  A lot of the punches are retired but still useful.  I also used  a couple of retired  Big shot Dies!  But since it is not for a class with new peeps it is totally okay!

The colors used were Coastal cabana, Certainly Celery, and Elegant Eggplant, the only color that is still current .  

What do you think?  Did I nail it?  There will be more pictures of her decorations to come 'cause I didn't stop there!

Happy Canada Day!

Hello Everyone!

I have been AWOL but I have been busy..  Over the next week or so I will show you what has been keeping me occupied.


Today is July 1st and in Canada that is a big deal.  It's Officially a holiday and so I made a banner.  I have it hung up between two trees in front of my trailer.  But I took a pic with my IPad as I forgot my camera home.  So here is the pic on the wall at my home. lol

If I can figure how to upload another pic to this post I will show you the other pic. Normally I am more computer savvy than this but this time I'm stumped.  In fact I can't even access the bottom of this pic.  go figure!  So all the blah blah blah will be at the top of the post.

I used Real Red card stock and Crumb Cake for the banner.  I added Whisper White for the letters.  I have a maple leaf stamp that was retired and I embossed the banner in Gold Embossing powder.  then I fussy cut out a couple of leaves to decorate the banner.  The die I used was also retired this year when the new catalog came on line.  I will still keep it cause it is really functional for these banners.
