Gift Certificate Holder!

Hey there stampers,

This is a very quick post as I'm literally heading out the door to get some much need errands done. 

I have a Gift Certificate Holder (or money or gift card, you choose lol) to show you.

I did this for a Birthday gift for one of my stampers.  Her family knows just what to give her for her Birthday/Christmas every year.  No mistakes made here!

Here you go have a little look -

 

I used some designer paper (retired) to make the holder and Celebrate Today stamp set with the matching framelits to decorate the outside of the holder.

 

As you can see the insert has a tab  which you pull up to reveal the gift.  The colors match the DSP, Night of Navy, Gold, and Bermuda Bay! 

 

 

 

You could use money or a gift card in this holder.  I actually don't have the measurements as this was a rush to get it done in between camping at the trailer.  I was lucky enough to be home when the call came in.  So Happy Belated Birthday Lynnette!  

 

So now I'm gone to get some work done lol.  Cause this is not work it is playing!

New Catalog Day!

Hi there Readers!

I am in the last stages of prep for tonight's Main Event!  Our Stampin' Up! Open House Event at the Glynnmill Inn!  I am so excited that last night I was awake almost all night!  I know, I'm a nut!  But I LOVE what I do and can't imagine anything better than sharing it with 60 other ladies.  Whoo Hoo!

Today I am going to show you the Thank You cards I have for Dale Hampshire and Kay Smith.  Dale is the manager of Stampin' Up! Canada and Kay is our Leader based in St. John's.

Is this not the cutest thing you have ever seen?  I used Cherry Cobbler for the base and Basic Black and Whisper White as accent colors.  I cut out the Bomb using the Balloon Framelits that co-ordinate with the Celebrate Today stamp set!  I sponged one side of the "bomb" with Whisper White craft ink.  I used White Bakers Twine for the fuse and colored the top with Daffodil Delight ink.  The explosion part of the card was stamped using various stamps from Paper Pumpkin.  I also added a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the explosion.  Cute!

 

This is the sentiment on the inside of the card.  I used my computer to print out the idea I had and then decorated it with the same dots and stars. 

 

The demonstrators got together and bought a little gift to thank Kay and Dale for all their hard work.  This is the gift tag I quickly designed to go on the outside.

Open Season on Man Cards!

Good day Stampers!

Well June is almost here and you know what that means, right?  Yup, it's time to make man cards!  With Father's Day on June 21st. We have to haul out the darker colours!  Yeah think, dirt!  For some inexplicable reason men are not into flowers or ribbon or even bright pinks!  I mean really!  

So I have a new class designed to help you make that transition from gojus to ho hum!  

Have a look at a couple of cards I have in mind for this class!

First up is this gojus (surprise I can use this word here cause it is very lovely in person)

 

This card uses dark colors to make an impact.  And yes you do see some glitter.  This is very much an elegant card!  I used Basic Black and Basic Grey for my colors and the stamp set is the new Photopolymer set called "Celebrate Today!"  I found this gem on Pintrest and thought it was just perfect for my theme of man cards.

This next one uses "Lovely as a Tree" which is ALWAYS my go to set for men!  Pair that with Greens and Browns and you have a hit with the gentlemen!  This card is mounted on a Chocolate Chip piece of card stock sized at 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".  then the image and front are sized just a 1/4 " smaller.  Just thought I would change it up a bit from the standard card. 

 

This is the inside of the card.  I used "Hardwood" for the front stamping and also the circle framelits to create an aperture in the front of the card.  This card uses Always Artichoke and Very Vanilla for the accent colors.  This card is suitable for either a Birthday card or Father's day!
