Mediterranean Moments

Hey there Stampers,

Today's post is a card close to my heart.  For almost all of my life I have wanted to travel but was unable to because of various things.  Money, time, family.  You know how it is right? 

But this May I was able to make a dream come true for myself and travel to the Mediterranean.  I went to Greece, Italy, Spain and Malta with my sister Sandra.. 

To say it was a wonderful adventure would be an understatement.  lol.  I met so many lovely people and ate amazing food and drank the tastiest coffees.  The scenery, the weather, the water, these are etched in my memory forever and I am changed in so very many ways. 

Maybe later on I will chat more about my adventures but today I wanted to show you a card I am sending to my sister to thank her for going with me. 

Here it is -

The card is water colored using Stampin' Up! water colour pencils and a real red marker.  (for the Scooter)

I used Bermuda Bay card stock for my base card (I know it looks like Tempting Turquoise but the light here today is really bad for taking pics)  I added another layer and used the dynamic embossing folder Layered Leaves for a bit more texture.

I used  water colour paper and stamped in Black Archival ink and then water colored my focal piece using an aqua painter and the pencils.  To add a little more colour to the scooter I took a Real Red Marker and scribbled a bit on the Stamp case.  Then I picked up the colour with the Aqua Painter.  I think it turned out really well.

I started looking for a sentiment and found the appropriate one in Watercolor Wings.  It says "the little moments with you matter a lot to me."  Okay could that be more fitting?  Seriously, it just works so very well for how I feel.
