A curious thing

This winter has been a subtle one. In fact Christmas day we had no snow. I think this is the first time in my memory we had a green Christmas. But here is the curious thing that happened today. I went out to my car and was clearing off the snow. As I looked on the roof there was a spider crawling over the snow. A total surprise. I don't usually feel much for spiders (except yech!) but for some reason the plight of this spider touched me. Here he/she was struggling for survival. I have to admit I gently lifted the spider off and placed it on the edge of my wall where the dirt was still showing. Now survival is up to the spider. I really couldn't kill it.
