Always Elegant!

Good day Inky People,

It's gonna be a long month if I have to cry over every stamp set I have to say good by to!  I look at the box of retired stamps and sigh, draw out a stamp, wipe a tear from my eye and start a new project.  Even though I am sad, a little voice inside keeps saying "Can't wait to see the new catalog!"  hahaha.  So don't send sympathy cards - I'm alright!

Today's stamp is called "Always Elegant".  And it is!  The number for this set is 116976  Wood or 120477 Clear and may be found on Page 80 of the Idea Book and Catalog.  You may order this set on the right hand side of my blog - shop 24/7.

I attended a card game last night with a group of ladies that I haven't seen in awhile.  It was so nice to get together and laugh and beat the pants off and enjoy my evening. ( side note- I did not beat anyone at this game last night in fact I was the one with the lowest score, I am so ashamed)

We all brought something as a gift and you know me well enough by now, to know that I had to make something.  I have a few picture frames that I wanted to do something with and what better time?  So here you go - my gift for the card game!

I used a 5" x7" piece of Very Vanilla for my base and stamped the image from Always Elegant in the corners with Pool Party .  I cut a piece of the Attic Boutique DSP that is in the Occasions Mini and then I cut a piece of Regal Rose c/s to make a place for the lady who chose my gift to put in her own  picture.  I stamped the greeting  with Early Espresso and cut out some butterflies with Beautiful Wings embosslit for the Big Shot.  (Notice a trend towards Butterflies lately?)

I added some pearls to the butterflies and used Tombow to place them on the picture.  I cleaned the glass and put the picture in the frame.  Now for the outside!

Here is a close up of the corner detail.

I used a length of Pool Party Seam Binding and balled it up in my hand to make it crinkly!  I made a loose bow and tied it with Bakers Twine to hold it together.  I used glue dots to adhere it to the frame.  I used the Boho Blossom punch and Regal Rose c/s to make the Flower.  I also sprayed it with Shimmer mist.  I cut out a couple of flowers with the discontinued Trio Flower Punch and sponged them with regal rose and Pool Party.  Sprayed them with Shimmer Mist also and scrunched them up.  Added a couple of leaves in Pool Party and I am done. ( I used mini Glue dots to stick everything to the frame)

I am sure whoever gets this will love it.  Of course there is also a $10.00 gift certificate for The Bulk Barn included in the prize, so maybe they were just excited about that lol. ( another side note - she and everyone else loved the frame, so I guess I was a winner!)
Enjoy!  Always Elegant Hugs!
