I am interrupting the previous 4000 posts from the Blog Hogger for an important message!!!
I am home from Ottawa!
Ok, don't faint! I know it's been two long months during which I have been suspiciously silent! (well on this blog anyway!) But now that I am back I have decided to give my poor overworked sister some well deserved time off! (Yes Colleen it is MY blog not yours!)
Seriously though I do appreciate all the blogging Colleen has been doing over the summer while I was lollygagging in Ottawa with family and the new baby! Because of her wit and artistic efforts you, my followers, have been able to enjoy some wonderful and creative cards. Thank you so much!
Ok now that I have my thanks out of the way lets get back to the fun stuff. Cards and Crafts for Halloween and Christmas and who knows what else I may have for you over the next couple of months. (Even I don't have a clue what is going to happen)
A long while ago I mentioned that I had gone to an SU! event in Ottawa and did some projects. I also showed you a pic of a cute little craft box and I promised to show you the cards for the inside of the box. Well I finally got them done yesterday. I did the stamping in Ottawa but didn't have any dimensionals to finish them, and so I waited to put them together.
Here is the box again:
Now here are the cards that belong in the box!
These cards are 3" x 3" and use the Scentsational Season Stamp set found on page 16 in the Holiday Mini! I also used the framelits collection that matches this stamp set to cut out the cup and the candy cane!
How cute are these? The candy canes were embossed in Peppermint sticks embossing powder. Lovely smell!!
Ok now for some more news! I submitted a card to Canadian Scrapbooker magazine a little while ago and it was published in the September edition. Cool or what! My card in a magazine! Yay!
So my son called me and asked me what magazine I was in and when I went on facebook a little while later these pictures were posted there. The caption on the photos said "Hey mom, You're famous!!!" (blush)
My son Colin being silly!
His wife and my favorite daughter in law - Marie! Yes that is my card she is pointing to!
I feel so blessed to have had such a wonderful summer with my kids. But now it is time to get back to work. If you want to book a class just contact me and I will show up at your home with whatever project you would like to do! Flexible classes and reasonable prices.!! What more could you ask for?
Blushing hugs!
So glad you're back!!!!
