Serene Silhouettes and a Trailer Rant!

Good Day Everyone!

Well I am back from my night at the trailer.  Whew!  I am bushed!  Who knew getting a 5th wheel Trailer set up for the summer could be so exhausting.  Leave it to my Hubby to complicate things.  Most people just back in the trailer and put out the slide and enjoy.

Oh no, not my OCD man!  First it has to be in the EXACT place as last year, first problem, this year they moved his landmarks (sticks and a couple of stones).  These marked where the back wheels should go.  Then they took out a huge rock that was just behind the trailer.  This was his stopping point.

Needless to say there was much manoeuvring and lots of checking to get it right.  So he finally gets it  in the correct place, now comes the real fun.  It has to be LEVEL.  Yes folks, apparently nothing in the trailer will work unless it is perfectly level.  (I hate that stinking level)

Put one leg down and then the other one,  check level, now one has to go up a little more, check level, check back of trailer, put legs down, check level, go to front of trailer and put wood under one leg, check level, - I  could go on for hours but you get the idea.

Ok, now it is level, or at least until it settles on site.  lol.  Now we have to shore it up.  This man has half a lumber yard in the back of the pick up.  All different sizes of planks, square ones, round ones, flat ones, skinny ones, the list goes on.  Apparently these all have a "Special" place to go and apparently I don't have the map (cause it changes EVERY FREAKIN' YEAR!!)  So, much moving of wood from one side to the other.

Finally, they are all in place.  I am praying to whatever forgiving god is out there because I am considering murder and mayhem.   This just in - "Woman goes crazy at Big Fall's Park and tries to murder her Husband with a piece of wood,  News at 11:00"

Then he has a stabilizer for the front of the trailer.  Done,  it's break time for me.  Off to the inside of the trailer I go.  If you follow my blog, you will know that last year I was gone for the whole summer and that means my DH put the trailer away for the winter.   He did try and to his credit it wasn't too bad.  I just had to wipe everything down and wash all the dishes too.  I spent quite awhile at this.

Next a summons from my hubby.  Time to put the Patio deck in front of the trailer.  It is a portable one (needs 6 strong men so how portable is it really?) but as before it has to be LEVEL.  Sweet fancy mother - here we go again.  More boards and more levels.  I could level him I tell you.

I know this has gone on way too long but I can only grouse to you, my readers, because if I told him how I actually feel,  it would start an argument.  So he gets the sanitized version of what is going on in my head, oh and lots of encouragement and praise for what a great job he is doing!  it's a wonder I can say it with such sincerity ( and a straight face)!

What's in this rant for you?  I'm glad you asked.  I needed something to calm me down and nothing does it better than a complicated card that takes my mind off things.  I went back to Michelle Zindorf's blog and looked up a tutorial for Serene Silhouettes!  Found one I felt I could do and this is what turned out -

Don't you love it?  Does it feel peaceful and serene?  I feel much better so I guess the above rant and the card helped. :O)  thanks so much for your help!

Michelle Zindorf's tutorial can be found here!   I did change some of the details of her card but the main art piece is accurate.

Hope you are having a great weekend!  Chat with you soon!

Trying to get back to the Zen hugs!
