Newfoundland! The land that Spring Forgot!

Hey there Crafty Ones!

Well I'm back and finally looking at a sunny day.  It snowed over the Easter Weekend and we had horrible weather.  I am really feeling that Spring has forsaken us lol.

So I have been working with some spring colors.  Bright and sunny colors!  Yeah if Mother Nature intends to take me down she is in for a shock!  I don't need real flowers I can create my own.  (Thank goodness, or I just might go crazy!)

I decided to make a card for a friend who is going through a really rough time right now.  We don't live close but years ago she used to babysit my kids.  And her parents have been friends with my hubby's mom and dad for forever.

So I made this card to send to her.  I also have another little something to go inside the card to hopefully let her know that I am thinking of her.

Have a look -

I used Naturals White card stock for the card base and stamped the flower from Butterfly Basics in Memento Black ink.  I colored the flower with markers, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. (Think Lemons  lol)

I added some retired Washi tape to the bottom and used the greeting from the Butterfly set as this greeting can be read in so very many ways!   I also stamped the smallest butterfly on Vellum and embossed it in clear Embossing powder to get a bit of shine.

I then colored the back of the butterfly with the Daffodil Marker and let it dry.  It made the color a little more defined.  I added some rhinestones to the center of the butterfly and called it finished.

Used some dimensionals to pop up the greeting and butterfly and one of the flowers and also the art piece.  A very simple card but one that looks amazing if I do say so myself.

Hope you like my share today.  I have another one for you for tomorrow, so come back!

Lemonade hugs!

Now Mother Nature - in your face!  hahaha

  1. That's the way to show her! What a sunny card. All by itself it ought to bring your thermometer up a few degrees. Hope so anyway.
