I had a wonderful "You've got Male!" class last night. We have so much fun at these classes. I made some homemade old fashioned Molasses Raisin and Oatmeal cookies. Yummy! I found the book, which I've had since I was a child, when I was cleaning out a drawer in the kitchen.
I had forgotten how good these cookies were. Everyone seemed to enjoy them, or maybe they were just being polite) lol
Today's share started out as and idea and morphed into something quite different. I couldn't seem to get what I had in my head on paper. So I made a simple card but I like how it turned out so I guess all's good in my world.
Here is the card -
I started with a Whisper White base and the Just Believe stamp set which will retire tomorrow at midnight. So sorry to see this one go! I added a new in-color called Cool Cabana (have I mentioned how much I love the new in-colors yet? ) I also used the new grey called Smoky Slate. It was a nice foil for the Cool Cabana. I think I may do this card again in some of the other colors.'
I stamped the large stamp with Smoky Slate, I added a White Organza ribbon. I punched out three butterflies using the Bitty butterfly punch in the Spring mini. I used rhinestones for the middles and placed them in a random manner over the card.
It still needed something so I dived into my paper drawer and look what I found. Yep, Silver Glimmer paper. Wow, does that ever add a special something to this card. So simple but POW right? So, apparently Glitter is Not Just for Christmas! See, I managed to tie in my blog heading!
Now for a Stampin' Up! news bulletin!
Tomorrow is May 31st and the new Stampin' Up! Idea book and Catalog will be going live, but in addition for the first time ever, SU has three Catalogs active.
You may order from the New Catalog for 2013-2014, the Old Catalog for 2012-2013 and the Spring Mini! All at the same time! Holy Moly! Great or what?
I have an order going out tomorrow so if you have anything you need or want please contact me so I can add you to my order. Don't miss out!
Well that's it for me today! I have to clean up my craft room, it looks like something blew up in there. Oh and thank you Sharon for helping with the clean up! I appreciated it!
Excited for tomorrow hugs!
What a pretty card, and it's lovely to see the glimmer paper being use other than for Christmas sparkle! Just lovely and refreshing; TFS! Donna/SC
