Pinterest or Original?

Hi there, all you inky people!

It's your favourite neighbourhood Blog Hogger here with a new game for you! How exciting it that? (I know! My heart is racing too! lol)

As you can guess by the title, we're going to play a brand new game called "Pinterest or Original"! (OMG, I feel like Ellen Degeneres! lol)

So, here's how it works . . . I post a picture of a card and you decide if I CASEd (Copy-And-Share-Everything) it from Pinterest or if I came up with the design all by myself. Got it?

 Okay, let's start . . .

Card #1 features butterflies, pearls and the retired Vine Street Emboss Folder. Decked out in Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight cardstock, this birthday card screams summer! (Doesn't that sound like the card is mincing down a runway in Paris? he he)

So Pinterest or Original?

It's definitely a Pinterest CASE. I would give you the link for it but I deleted the pin and. Can't. Find. It. Anywhere. I looked and looked and looked and I'm almost ready to believe I dreamed I saw it on Pinterest and claim it as my own. However, I know for a fact that it looks exactly like the original, with the same colors and elements.

If the originator of this card reads this blog, please contact Katherine and we'll make sure to give you credit. (I know I could have just not bothered to use this card but I absolutely love everything about it!)

Here's card #2, a sweet little number featuring the oh-so-popular Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. With it's spring punches of colour and sparkly rhinestones, this card is sure to be a hit with everyone who has a birthday! lol

So, Pinterest or Original?

It's a Colleen original, although I've seen similar ones on Pinterest. I figure I changed up enough elements from the ones I've seen (colours, stamp set for the sentiment, rhinestones) that it counts as an original. (My game, my rules! lol)

Our last little number showcases the Balloon Celebration stamp set and is a riot of Whisper White and Real Red! This darling card proves that less is more and simple is in!

Pinterest or Original?

This is a difficult one, my friends. It's a CASE of one I found from Pinterest, with the original by Tracy May found here: http://bedlamandbutterflies.co.uk/2015/12/balloon-celebration-by-stampin-up-gdp015/. However, I simplified this card greatly, leaving out the silver glimmer paper and embossed background. I also kept the balloon more simple, wanting the white and red to take center stage. So, is it a CASE or not? You decide! lol

So, for those keeping count, we've had one Pinterest, one Original and one half and half.

Join me tomorrow and we can play Pinterest or Original (cue dramatic music) again!

Gaming hugs,
Colleen
