Happy Easter!

Hi there Crafty ones!

I have busy knocking out Easter cards for my family and friends.  I got a batch out on Friday but I still have a few to do.  Not worried though cause I will hand deliver these when my sister and MIL come to the house for dinner Easter Sunday.  See I have a plan !

I had a couple of classes last weekend and we did one Easter card.  I decided to use the layout to make my Easter cards.  I broke out a retired set called Everybunny to send to my little Emily.  She loves bunnies and has two stuffed ones that are well loved.

So here is my share for today -

This card uses Butterfly Basics and Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I don't have a current Easter set at the moment but the flower in Butterfly Basics works well especially when paired with Elegant Eggplant and Garden Green with a Hello Honey Ribbon.  I used markers to color the flower.  And Happy Easter is cut out with the Banner Framelits.  In hindsight I should probably have changed the background to a more neutral color but I didn't so you are stuck with Melon Mambo blinding you.  sigh!!

This is Emily's Easter card.  See same layout but played a little with the elements.  Hope she likes it!

I'm very busy today as it is the last day of Sale A Bration and I have several orders going out before the day is out!  lol.  It's not too late to order, you have until 9:00pm to get your order in.  I will not be doing orders after that time.  However you can place an on line order here  http://www.inkinbythebay.stampinup.net  until 12:00pm your time.

Don't forget to check out the weekly deals and the clearance rack.  These can be added to your order and when you hit the $60.00 amount before taxes and shipping and handling, you can get a free product from the SAB catalog.

So have fun and enjoy!

Gonna run and get some more cards done.

Hopping to it hugs!

Belated Easter Pic

Hello everyone!

It's the Blog Hogger again. I can finally post some pics of the card I gave Kathy for Easter! Yah! And to Lisa who was here when I made Kathy an Easter card, this isn't it! lol I ended up making a totally different one for her! I know! I know! It's overkill but I had an idea and had to run with it!

Anyway, here's the outside of the card:

Cardstock: Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White
Stamp sets: Flower Shop, Petite Petals & Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron & Strawberry Slush
Extras: Pansy, Word Window & Modern Label punches, Rhinestone Basic Jewels

So...the front is pretty, all egg-shaped and everything. However, the best is yet to come! Here's the inside:

The card opens completely flat and there's a pop-up section in the middle. Here's a close-up of that part:

The same designs are on the front and back of the pop-up section so that it looks the same from either side. And a better look at the top and bottom sections:

So, here are the details for the inside:

Cardstock: Whisper White; Old Olive; So Saffron; Basic Black, So Saffron & Pumpkin Pie (chick)
Stamp sets: Secret Garden, Petite Petals, Express Yourself
Ink: Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron
Extras: Owl Builder & 1" Circle punches (chick), Square Lattice Embossing Folder (chick), Secret Garden Framelits, Basic Black marker & Dazzling Diamonds (large flowers next to the chick), oval punch & Designer Paper (pop-up eggs), Window Sheets (for pop-up section), Rhinestone Basic Jewels

I would LOVE to say that I also used the Petite Petals punch but it is on back order so I hand cut ALL of those little flowers! Yep, all 109 of them!!! (Well, it felt like 109 of them! lol) I think my hand may be permanently warped into a claw shape! Now, THAT'S sisterly love! lol

Hand-cramped but happy hugs,
Colleen

Happy Easter Eve!

Happy Easter Eve, everyone, from your favorite (I hope) Blog Hogger! What's Easter Eve, you ask? Think Christmas Eve...only warmer! lol

Stampmas arrived at my house this past week! Lost you again, huh? Stampmas is also like Christmas...only it comes way more than one a year and all the gifts are from Stampin' Up! lol

Anyway, one of my friends, Lisa, got the Eggtra Spectacular stamp set as one of her goodies and we got together to play with it. Lisa ended up making a couple of cards for her 'near and dear' ones and she agreed to let me showcase them! Yah!

 Here's the first one:

Isn't it cute? By the way, although it doesn't show up in this picture, the middle cloud is popped up on Dimensionals, as are two of the eggs and the sentiment.

Here's the details;

  • Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Whisper White & Crumb Cake
  • Stamp Set: Eggstra Spectacular
  • Ink: Soft Sky (sponged on edges of clouds), Black Stazon
  • Extras: Cupcake Builder punch & random Embossing Folder (clouds), Fresh Prints Designer Paper & Extra-Large Oval punch (large eggs), 3/16" Corner punch & variety of Stampin' Up Markers (sentiment strip), Dimensionals
And here's the second one she made:

I love the vibrant colors on this one! I also like how she made the banner pop off the card. Here's a closer look at it.

Here's the details;
  • Cardstock: Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise
  • Stamp Set: Eggstra Spectacular
  • Ink: Black Stazon
  • Extras: Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Extra-Large Oval punch, Fresh Prints Designer Paper (the dark grey strip is also Designer Paper), Dimensionals
Eggstra spectacular hugs & here's hoping you all have a wonderful Easter,
