Mixed Bunch!

Good Day Stampers!

I have three pictures to show you and a tag!  Woo Hoo!  I will be in Stephenville tomorrow for a class and these are the cards we will be making!
I tried to keep it simple because several of the ladies attending are new and I don't want to overwhelm them by using the Big Shot and all the wonderful tools available to us stampers!  So just one stamp set and a couple of punches for a change of pace.

Here you go -

This is a Masking and Kissing technique for them to try out.  I used Mixed Bunch for my stamp set and some of the lovely DSP you can get for free during Sale A Bration (Which btw is over in NINE days)

This one is a random stamp for the background and the Rock and Roll technique for the flower.  I added some Dazzling Details to the center of the flower cause a girl likes her bling!  And do you see the lovely FREE ribbon (scored that from SAB along with two more colors and buttons, sweet!)

This one is done in Crumb Cake and Primrose Petals.  I used the in-color Dahalias and some linen thread for a little punch!

Oh look!  It's a Bonus Project!  Used the Free Stamp set called Madison Avenue and some more of the lovely free ribbon.

I so hope the ladies like it!  I love trying to create new cards but sometimes because I have so much product from the catalog it is REALLY hard to KISS - Keep it simple Stampers!

Miss Emily is in the room cooing and laughing and it sounds like it's time for a cuddle!  My Girls will be heading home to Ottawa in another week and I have to say I will miss both of them so much.  But I can't keep them forever!  It has been a wonderful visit and I have enjoyed getting to know that funny little monkey!

So Simple hugs today!  See you later!

Ideas for Organization!

Good Day my Friends!

Did you miss me yesterday?  Were you waiting with bated breath?  RIGHT  I'm so full of myself!  Sorry I missed yesterday but things got hectic and I had so many errands to run and I had to get my hair cut so I wasn't home long enough to get a post done.

But I am home today and trying desperately to get something to show you.  I am working on some things for my daughter and her little one due this Aug.

Today's share is not a card but something to help her organize her baby's closet.  I used to work in retail for many years and I have to say that is probably what inspired this idea.

Have a look and I will explain as we go along -

So can you guess what these are for?  Yes they are for the baby's closet.  I used the second largest framelit die to cut these out.

I tend to save the backing card board that comes with the designer paper because sometimes I need the project to be stronger than just card stock.  This is one of those projects.

I cut the designer paper and the card board at the same time.  Then I glued the DSP to the board.  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch to cut a hole.

If you look closely, you can see where I  cut from the outside of the framelit to the circle.  That way it will fit over the closet rod.

I was going to go crazy and decorate the bee jus out of them but then I thought wait a min there, these will be getting some use over the next year and I thought maybe just scale it back a little.  Besides my daughter is not one for over decoration.  lol..

I think this is a cute idea and hopefully it will do what it is supposed to.

Well that`s it for today.   Organizational hugs!

Hoppy Easter Everyone!

Hi there Stampers!

Yah I know you are scratching your heads and saying "What the heck is she doing on her blog so early on Easter Sunday?"  Well I didn't get much sleep last night as my DH got called out to work and when he is working I don't sleep much.  He works with the local power company fixing the lines.  The weather here is nasty and the winds are high and there have been several power outages.  I tend to worry about him when he is working under stress like this.  Shhhhh! don't tell him ok?

Well with only about three hours sleep (if I count actually going to bed) I am up bright and bushy tailed, (I'm up really!) getting ready for my cooked dinner and company.  Turkey is in the oven and the salt meat is on the boil.  Now if hubby can just keep the power on long enough for it to actually cook.  He is still working as we speak.

I don't have my cupcakes decorated yet but will share that probably tomorrow along with another scrapbook page.  But for today I have the place holders I made for my guests (family) to share with you.  Have a little look -

Are these not adorable?  I used the Mixed Bunch stamp set and matching punch!  I also used the cute bunny from " The Nicest Things" stamp set.  I water colored the bunny and flower pot with an aqua painter and used the 1 3/8" circle punch to cut him out.

Here is a close up of the colors.

The rest of the "Bunch".

I would like to thank Sharon for forgetting to take her two stamp sets home so I could play with them.  And I would love to wish you a very Happy Easter!

OHHH OHH OHH I almost forgot to mention!  I was chosen as one of the Weekly Favorites on Splitcoast Stampers.  How cool is that!  Check it out here and look at post #6.  How wonderful is that right?  And I just got a comment that said I was featured on this website via Pintrest!  Click here to see this!   My thanks to all who commented.  You fill my heart with joy!

Check back tomorrow!  Hoppy Easter Hugs!

My Easter Table Decorations!

Good Day Everyone!

I re-thought my reluctance to blog my table decorations.  I am so pleased with how everything turned out that I just can't wait until tomorrow for the WOW's that I know will be forth coming!  YILM!

So today was getting a few things in order for tomorrow.  But now I have a few minutes free so just for all of you - my accessories to my table.

Aren't they sweet?

These little cuties are cupcake holders.  There is a ring on the back that holds the cupcake.  I have the cupcakes already baked and the icing ready to go for tomorrow.  The cupcakes have a little surprise in them.  I can't say what it is, but I will take a couple of pictures tomorrow and tell you on the next post.

Here is a close up.  I used the 1 3/4" circle, 1 3/8" circle, large oval, and smallest oval punches.  I used the heart from the Owl Builder Punch.  I used some scraps of DSP (I just know we all have tons of that right?)  I used an Early Espresso Marker to do the face and then I sponged Pretty in Pink on the cheeks for a bit of blush.  Wait until you see them with a cupcake!

This is my table centerpiece.  It is a long eared bunny and some cadbury eggs in a tall vase.  I tied a Pretty in Pink ribbon around the base of the vase and decorated it with flowers from the Mixed Bunch stamp set.  This set may be found in the Occasions Mini featured on the right hand side of the blog.  This catalog will end on April 30th.

This is a close up of the flowers.  I attached them to the ribbon using mini glue dots.  What do you think?  I can't wait until I see all of these decorations on my table tomorrow.

I have one more item to share with you but will do that tomorrow.  Stay tuned!  Happy Easter Hugs to all!  Hop you have a good day!  (and yes I meant to spell it that way, lol)
