One Layout - Two Different Cards!

Good Day Inky People!

I have returned from the wilderness and have been busy cleaning up the  mess that is my craft room.  It's pretty bad in here!  I usually only get home long enough to make a mess and then back to the camper.

Since my card stock took a holiday last week and didn't come camping with me I was pretty frustrated but the crafting gods took pity on me and sent my hubby out of town and now I have a WHOLE WEEK to play!  Better not spend this week sleeping!

So this morning I was inspired to make a couple of cards and decided to use the same layout (why change it if it ain't broken?) and make two using the same colors (almost) and the same idea!  It worked out beautifully if I do say so myself.

Have a little lookie poo!

Is this not Gorgeous?

I used Off the Grid for the Background.  I stamped it in Coastal Cabana, which is the same color card stock.  I embossed the flowers from Fabulous Florets, in White embossing powder.  I sponged them using  Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Summer Starfruit (this color is starting to grow on me) and I colored the leaves in with a Pistachio Pudding marker.

Oh and I used the Sponge Daubers instead of sponges as I find them better for controlled sponging.

I stamped the sentiment in Baked Brown Sugar.  This card was sponged and cut out by hand, so if you don't enjoy fussy cutting then this card is not for you lol.

Now on to the other card -

As you can tell this one is the same but very different!  I used Gorgeous Grunge for the back ground and Flower Shop and also Papillion Potpourri.  I embossed the flowers in White embossing powder and sponged the flowers in the same colors as before but I did change the Strawberry Slush color to Crisp Cantaloupe.  Now for the BIG change!  Every one of these images were punched out!  I used the Flower Shop punch and the Petite Butterfly punch.  Can you say Easy?

I colored the butterflies in Pistachio Pudding and used them as leaves.  I added another butterfly to the center of the flower closest to the sentiment.

Time to do this one about 10 minutes, time for the first card, Oh  double that and a few more. lol.

So simple and so Fun!  Here's a close up of the flowers -

Well that's my share for today!  I figured since I have been so absent lately you deserved two cards today.  I thank Colleen aka the Blog Hogger, for her contributions.  She has been a life saver and I love the cards and the tutorial she posted for all of us.

Have a great day, I am off to see if I can more cleaning done.

Not Layin About (almost Layout) hugs!

"I Hear Bells!"

Good Day Stampers,

I am home for a couple of days from camping to prepare for my "I Hear Bell!" class.  It's almost the end of June and I don't know about you but I have a wedding to attend in July.

I figured my stampers might have a similar problem, so I am currently designing a class for Wedding and Anniversary cards.  Of course these cards will also work for a B-Day card with a simple change of a sentiment.

I have a share for you today.  I have two cards done for my class and have two more to do.  I used Fabulous Florets and Velum card stock for the first one and the second one uses Flowering Flourishes.  I got this set not long ago and haven't had time to work with it.

Have a look -

This is the first card for the class.  Not too much fussy cutting for my stampers.  They tend to complain if they have to fussy cut.  lol.  But I have been replacing my scissors with Stampin' Up!'s Paper Snips and I have to tell you it makes a HUGE difference.   My stampers were so impressed They have been purchasing the scissors.

Here's a close up of the middle of the flowers.  Purty!

Now for my second share -

I used Flowering Flourishes and the BoHo Blossom Punch and lots of pearls.  Love it!  These flowers could be done in any color and I will offer that option to my stampers.  You know it's great when we can match the colors for the weddings we are attending.

So that's it for me I only have today and tomorrow to get these classes in the bag so no time to chat.

Ringing in my ears hugs!

The Last Two Projects!

Salutations Saturday Stampers!

Ooh an alliteration.  My poor English teacher would be so pleased lol!  I have been a busy and creative little demo the last couple of days.  What with trying to keep up with posts to keep you all happy :O) and finishing the last two projects for my class this Sunday I haven't stopped.

But I am happy to announce I am ready with my last couple of projects.  I even have the PDF's done in advance.  How good am I?  Lots of good!

Today's card is not an original, I have seen it around on the web and had to play with the technique because it looks so fun.  And it is simple and fun and such a great little technique.  Here is the card:

I know, how gojus is this?  I still have Fabulous Florets on my desk and at this time it happens to be the only open line stamp I have that I can use for these techniques.  For someone who likes to Water Color it makes no sense at all, right?  But that's the truth, so I hope you don't get bored with this set.

And here is the little bonus project for Sunday.  I have had this Bigz die since Christmas but it's the first time I have had a reason to use it. Hard to believe, but again another truth.  (Humm, maybe I should have labeled this post "Truth or Dare!")

My Stampers will be given the option of changing the colors they use for the card and the purse.  Some of my stampers prefer Blue or maybe Yellow.  I can't wait to let them play with my dsp and cut card stock. lol.

And here is a pic of the projects together.  Lovely!

All done for another day!   Have a great weekend and keep stamping!

Floral hugs!

More than Enough Flowers!

Good Day my Lovelies!

Yes I am in the middle of a Flower Bonanza!  Not the Bonanza my DH watches with the horses and guns, but Lots and Lots of Lovely Flowers.

This time of the year is so much fun because I can let my inner and outer girl free to enjoy and post and brag and swoon over my cards with all the frills and furbelow's.  When the weather is drab out there you can count on me to fill your computer screen with pretty!

So here is my share for today -

Isn't this just the most beautiful thing you have seen today?

I used Whisper White for my card base and for the impact!  I stamped on Vellum Card stock embossed with White embossing powder and then sponged and colored and cut out and popped up and dimensionaled the bejus out of this card.

I cut a window in the center and layered with Whisper white embossed with Elegant Lines.  The Happy Mother's Day is stamped inside the card with black ink.  OOOH so much fun and fussy cutting to do! Part of my Sunday Class this week.

Well since yesterday's post was soooo long winded today is quick and breezy!  Chat with you later.

Flowering hugs!

Layering it on a little thick!

Hello Stampers!

Well yesterday was one of those days when

1,  I felt a little tired
2.  I felt a little blue
3.  I was cold
4.  I was unable to get any housework done or much creating.

Ok!  To address the first one - Restless legs!  For the last three weeks almost every night my legs do an imitation of a Mexican jumping bean until fricking 7:00am.  Not fun!

Number 2 - Missing Emily and Carrie - so what else is new!

Number 3 - We have hot water radiation and  DH had to dig up the pipe to replace it (more on that later in the post)  So no water = no heat!

Yes it is STILL cold out!

Number 4 - No heat, No water, tired, irritable = going to bed!  Seriously I went back to bed at around 10:00am and got up after lunch!

Here are a couple of pic's of our driveway yesterday morning -

Yes It is a really Big Hole!  How many men does it take to decide this?  I actually counted 10 at one time all standing around looking into the hole!  Too funny!

Oh Look, we have no driveway!  But by later in the evening we had a working driveway.  I think I will go out of town when DH gets the bill!  :O)

Hubby said while they were digging this out he had a smile plastered on his face.

The guys working asked him why he was smiling and he replied "Last year my wife tried to convince me to put down $9000.00 in asphalt!"  (Whew I just missed that bullet!)

I guess after all this complaining you are wondering if there is anything here to interest you, right?  Well after the lovely nap, heat and water were restored, the driveway filled in and Hubby purchased supper - so no cooking for me!  Good mood officially back and went to the craft room to have some  fun.

Working with supplies on my desk, "Fabulous Florets" and Island Indigo and Gumball Green markers, I made a cute card for you.  Yippee!

Here you go!

I know, how gojus is this?

I used Whisper White for my base and all the lovely layers.  I scored lines down the card stock about halfway down and used the bottom of the card stock for my stamping.

I stamped some swirls with "Everything Eleanor" in Gumball Green.  I then filled in with the large flower from "Fabulous Florets" in Stazon Black ink.

I colored the flowers with my Island Indigo marker.  I went back after it had dried and added more ink with the same marker.  Doing that gave me a beautiful dark color in the centers.  I used the Gumball Green marker to do the centers of the flowers.

Ok this is starting to look good right?  I  added a piece of Whisper white card stock to the center to cover the line between the scored part and the art part.

I used the markers to make a greeting and then I did another flower and some leaves on scrap white.  Colored them in and layered them with dimensionals.  I added a piece of ribbon to the back of the flower with mini glue dots.

I'm loving it!

This card deserves two pic's!  This will give you a better look at the layers and the scoring.

Well this was supposed to be the end of the post and I was just going to publish it but I got up this morning to SNOW!  Yech!

Says it all!

Focused on the Flowers not the snow hugs!

Following My Muse!

Hi there Stamping Friends!

Ok,  I don't really have a muse!  But I sometimes think there is someone or something that gets into my head and won't get out until I put it on paper.  Humm!  That sounds slightly crazy!  Maybe I should rephrase that, Nah, I'm sure you get the picture.

Once again playing with stamps and paper.  I took out "Fabulous Florets" and decided to do some more random stamping.  But today I stepped it up a bit and Heat embossed the flowers and the leaves on  Shimmer White card stock.  I like how forgiving this card stock can be if you add water.  (And there would certainly be water involved in this project).

Once that was done, I had to decide on my colors.  I have mentioned in the last few posts that I was trying to use up some cut card stock and I just looked and found a couple of colors that "Spoke" (again with the voices!) to me.  Marina Mist, Gumball Green and Basic Black.  I heat embossed the images with Black Embossing powder.

Here is my share for today -

I used an Aqua painter to put the first color on the petals - Marina Mist.  I did it very lightly and went back and added Pacific Point ink after it had dried. Then while waiting for it to dry again I colored the leaves in Lucky Limeade and added Gumball Green to darken the leaves.  All this was done with the Aqua painter.  Once everything was dried I went back with a Pacific Point marker and made it  darker around the petals.  I then painted the center of the flowers with Gumball Green.  I took the Gumball Green marker and added a darker color to the leaves.

I like the light and dark and I think next time I would like to try Water Color paper to see if I could blend the colors a little more.  I added some Marina Mist Polka Dot ribbon and punched a retired greeting with a large oval punch and the Scallop Oval Punch.   Consider this done and my muse, weird voices or ghosts appeased!

Seeking help hugs!

It's Wedding Season!

Good Day Inky People!

Did you miss me?  I was camping the past weekend at Big Falls and while there was supposed to be WiFi, apparently the whole Newfoundland WiFi camping system is down.

Can you picture me in the truck with the computer, cell phone and booster and my Kindle?  The compter was to try to get on line, the cell phone and booster was to get tech support from my kids and the Kindle in case all of these failed (which they did)  I am able to post on Face book with the Kindle thank goodness.  I am on a 3G network.  I love technology but Things are NEVER easy!!!  So no posts for you!

But I am hoping they will get the bugs out and the next time I go there I will be able to post and check e-mail etc.  On the other hand I had a relaxing weekend.  Not a whole lot to do but read and play with fire! :O)

As the post says it's Wedding season and I have a lady in Alberta who contacted me about doing a hand made card for her!  Of course I was pleased to accept!  So this evening I  made this card for her.  The colors for the wedding are Purple and Black and I tried to incorporate these colors and still not make it too dark.  I think I nailed it!!   (I'm just sayin')

Have a look -

I used Fabulous Florets and did the Re-Inker Spread Technique.  I used Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant re-inkers to get this lush color.  This technique only works on Shimmer White card stock.  I used an aqua Painter to spread the color and of course I had to emboss the images in White embossing powder first.

I kept the French Filigree background stamp even though it is retired because I like the swirl.  I embossed this with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I really love how it turned out.  I hope she likes it.

Here is a close up of the swirl and the flowers.  I used a lot of layers for this card but it was well worth it don't you think?

Well gotta run and finish some more projects!  Have a great evening!

Feeling the love hugs!

Fabulous Florets in Regal Rose

Good Day Inky People!

Well as promised I am back with another post and a new card.  I am a card making machine!  I am trying to get ahead a little bit on my cards as I have several to make for Mother's day for some requests.

Holy smokes Mother's Day is coming up next week!  Oh and I have a Birthday coming up!  May 12th!!!

I unlike most people look forward to my B-Day! :O)  I will be 99.   I tell everyone I am that old because if you tell them you are 29 they just wink and don't believe you, but if you tell them you are older than you REALLY are they look at you and say "WOW you look fabulous for your age!!!"  So I want to look really great for my age - therefore I'm 99!!   (NOT)

I want to be one of those old ladies that my grand children (or grand child) look at and say "What a hip old lady"  I love new music, New ideas, I embrace change and new technology.

I know one thing though - I am going to be a hip grandmother,  I have all the coolest craft stuff (Stampin' Up!) I have all the animated movies.  I've been collecting them for years for just this reason,  (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)  and I can bake.  I think those are all the requirements of a good grandma don't you?

My daughter is really starting to look pregnant, and according to the Dr.'s  the baby is now 2 lbs 4 oz.  August 4th come on!  I don't want to wish away the summer but hey it's exciting right?  I can't wait!

Anyway back to the card (the only thing you are interested in I'm sure) -

Here you go -

I saw something similar somewhere on the net and thought it was beautiful.  Here's how I did it - I stamped the image with versamark ink on Pretty in Pink and then embossed it with White Embossing Powder.

I used a sponge dauber inked up with Regal Rose and swirled the color in the middle of the flowers.  Then I cut them out and popped them up with dimensionals.  Isn't it lovely?  I wanted a simple Mother's day card for my class today and this is beautiful and simple.

Here is a close up of the flowers.  Nice eh!

So that's it for today!  I will chat with you later.  Hip Grandmother hugs!

My take on the Trellis Card!

Good day Inky People!

Ok I went through the back door but the end result is the same.  I have the picture loaded and now ready for you to have a good look at.  Thanks for your patience!  On to my blog post - - - -

Well ever since I posted the link to Michelle's tutorial I have been thinking about how to make it mine lol.  You know me can't do anything unless I put a spin on it.  So I had been cleaning up (a never ending job I might add) the craft room and I have this container of objects d' Art that have been made for other projects but never used - yes that's right my UFO (unfinished Objects) container.  Well I found some lattice from the Big Shot already cut out and all I needed was some kind of hole in my card stock.  Well guess what works?

The new framelits Labels die's,  ain't that somethin!  All this was already on my desk and just waiting for the inspiration.  At 4:00am it hit me.  Now I can't get back to sleep and I'm itching to get to work.  I'm such a nut case.  ( I can see all of you nodding your heads and agreeing).  I also had some flowers done from Fabulous Florets,  got to use them and all I needed was a bit of greenery and a butterfly and voila there was one already done and with the pearl also.  A super quick card for me to do - well it was once I got the lattice and the framelits figured out.  :O)

Have a lookee -
All these objects were in my UFO container.  Yay for me!  What do you think?  I didn't go with a white card as you can see and I should and probably will do some sponging on the outside of the card (looks too clean) but over all I am really pleased with the outcome.  I used the new DSP Attic Boutique for the outside frame.

Whew took more time to figure out how to get this sucker to load than it did to make the card. hahaha!!
So that's all for today chat with you soon!  Not giving up hugs!

Michelle's Photo Tutorial

Good Day Stampers!

Today's post will be a link to a photo tutorial by Michelle Marks.  Michelle is one of my stampers and a die hard scrap booker.  She has been scrap booking for years but has recently been making some incredible cards.  She sent me a couple of pictures of two cards that she had made and I was quite taken with them.  So I asked her to do a photo tutorial, post it and then send me the link so I could share it with you!  She certainly doesn't need much instruction from me lol.!

Here are the pictures of her cards -

The Yellow/orange one and the Blue one use Fabulous Florets and the Pink one uses non Stampin' Up! flowers.  She also used Four Frames for her sentiments.  These cards are not the standard size but are actually 5" x 7".  Lovely!

Here is a close up of the Blue one.  Didn't she do a fabulous job?  Here is the link to the tutorial!  I am so proud of her because I taught her everything she knows - ok I didn't teach her this - oh and probably a few other things also ok?  But I do help her with the tools and stamps!

Don't forget stampers TOMORROW is the start of SALE A BRATION!!!!  The SAB catalog will be posted on my blog and my Stampin' Up! website for you to drool over.  Contact me to place your order or just go to my Stampin' Up! website, click on the 24/7 shop now button on the left hand side of my blog.

Chat with you later!  Proud hugs!

It's a Case of Love at 100th sight!

Good Day Inky People!  Yes it's me, another fly by visit and a chance for me to blog my heart out!.  Gosh the time is just zooming and my DD's wedding is just a little over a month away.    By now the weather has improved and we are in the double digits.  that 18 and 22 over the freezing mark!  For those of you who don't know or haven't visited Newfoundland the scenery here is beyond compare but sometimes the weather here leaves you cold - literally!  We have a saying here in Nl - We have 10 months of winter and 2 months of bad Ski-dooing!  (and if you don't know what a skidoo or a snow mobile is, boy are you the lucky one)

I have been pouring over the New Idea Book and Catalog for about three weeks now ( hence the 100th time I have viewed this catty and that's an estimate)  and I have to tell you it's one of the best.  The ideas in it are so beautiful that it seems a shame not to case them (copy and share everything).  So that's what I have been doing while camping.  My DH has a screen tent set up for me with a table and a light, fan, electrical outlet for music and laptop.  While I can't get Internet there at least I can work away to my hearts content while listening to my music.  Sometimes in the evening he is out at the fire and I am still in the tent singing my heart out listening to Adelle who right now is my all time fav singer.  So talented..

Ok enough with the blah blah blah! Here is my next case -

Got this beauty from Page 74 of the IBC.  They used Peace Within which I love but don't own and since I am camping I am limited to 30 sets or so of stamps, (no seriously I only have 10 with me) I used what I had which was Fabulous Florets.  I followed the layout but here's a little twist.  I wanted the flowers to really shine so I (wait for it) stamped them on Glossy Card stock with Cherry Cobbler ink and cut them out and popped them up with dimensionals.  It really makes the color so much richer than stamping on Whisper White c/s.  Can you see the similarities?

Well I have to go stampers but will return hopefully soon with some more wonderful creations.  Cherry Hugs!

I'm Finished

Good day Stampers!  Thanks for dropping in on me today to check up on my crazy life. :O)   I wish I was finished all the Wedding stuff but alas my DD is still coming up with "ideas" for me.  Love her to death but ENOUGH already.  hahaha.  Naw I love it and I know that when it is all said and done everything will be lovely.

Ok that's it for the wedding this week.  My sister told me I am too obsessed focused on the whole thing so I am taking her advice and just Lettin it go!!!   ommmmm  (said in a monotone hum with eyes closed and folded up like a pretzel)

What I am finished with is the Scrapbook page that I had started last week.  I realize that May is over and Scrapbook month is over but I couldn't help it if it took me several weeks to design one page could I?  So to recap - a 6" x 6" page taken to a 8 1/2" x 11" now taken to the 12" x 12" format.  A progressive page.   I will show you the metamorphosis (cool word right? )

6" x 6"
8 1/2" x 11"
12" x 12" finished page  I love it!!!

Well that's it for today everyone!  I'm headed to the living room for some more chanting and pretzeling (translation lying flat on the sofa).  Chat with you tomorrow!   Zen Hugs!

WHOO HOO Tuesday and another scrapbook page!

Happy Tuesday Stampers!  It's here, it's here!!!!   My birthday gift to myself has arrived and WOW!  I ordered the Doctor's bag for my Big Shot and it just arrived.  Couldn't wait to get my hot little hands on this baby I can tell you.  It's Black and Grey with the SU logo on the outside and inside it's PINK polka dots!  (can you tell I'm excited?)  It's the little things that excite me I can tell you,  my hubby is so lucky that it does not take much to make me happy hahaha.

Isn't this gojus?  I mean really?  Lots of room for Mr. BS and a few tools to go with him.  OOPS maybe Mr. BS should be a girl hummmm - with a pink interior, yeah maybe I should give this some thought.  :O)
This is the next level for my 6" x 6" scrapbook page I posted the other day.  Now it is 8 1/2" x 11".  Gonna take it up one more level to a 12" x 12" soon.  Stay tuned for that.

STAMPIN' UP! BUSINESS
There is one day left in the Scrapbook promotion so if you wanted to place an order you must do so before end of the day.  Head on over to my Stampin' Up website and have a look.  You will find the link for that on the left hand side of this blog.

There is also only one more day before the discontinued list  comes out.  Stampin' Up will be posting that on June 1st.  The new catalog will be available July 1st.  I hear there are lots of goodies in this one and I can't wait.  Being a demonstrator has it's perks I can tell you.  I will get to pre-order from the new catalog tomorrow and will receive my catalog to hold in two weeks.  You on the other hand will have to wait -  na na na na na!!  (that is unless you want to be a demonstrator also)  Just contact me for all the deets and I will set you up in your own business.  This could just be the best way to pay for your addiction.

Well that's it for today stampers thanks for visiting with me and I'll chat with you later.  Big shot hugs!

Something Unexpected!

Good day everyone!  Well I don't know if you are aware of it or not but May is Scrapbooking Month and here is a fast and fun fact about me - I don't generally scrap!  Well not that I am not good at scrapbooking but I really don't have much to scrap about.  Going to the same place for 38 years for holidays and no grand kids and no dog well you see where I am going with all of this right?

But because May is National Scrapbook month I thought well maybe I will do a couple of quick pages using my nieces Anissa and Danika.  Two beautiful and wonderful girls.  Oh and there is also a pic of me in the middle.  Yes ladies this is what young looks like next to old vintage.  lol.
This page is done on Daffodile Delight textured card stock and I used the flourish from the Big Shot.  I stamped the greenery (and cut it out by hand I might add) in Garden Green and used Early Espresso for the flowers with Whisper White card stock.  I used Cherry Cobbler for the middle flower.  The stamp set is called Fabulous Florets and I have to say it is fabulous....
Yes I did a two page layout.  I know Michelle don't pass out.  Michelle is my friend who is a die hard scrapbooker and has had several layouts printed in magazines.  Not up to her standards but quite nice none the less.
Here they are side by side.  They make a beautiful couple of pages and only took me two days to do.  No really hardly any time at all.  :O)  These pages are 6" x 6".  Maybe tomorrow I will take them up a size - hmmm have to see about that!

That's it for today stampers.  Daffodile flowers for everyone!

Fabulous Florets and Daughter's B-day card

Good Day everyone!  Thank you so much for visiting with me I love knowing you are following along with me.  Don't forget to sign up for e-mail updates.  That way you won't miss a post cause when I post you will get it in your e-mail.

Now I promised yesterday that I would show you my daughter's birthday card and since she got it yesterday I am at liberty to unveil it to you.  This card was done on Stampin' Connection by Carol Lovenstein and I totally cased it.  Now I don't know how many of you have an I-phone but for those of you that do I know that you will recognize it.  There is a game on the phone that is called Angry Bird.  Carrie showed it to me when I was in Ottawa and it is a fun game.  So I thought this card was going to be a hit and IT WAS!!!!  She called me this morning and was laughing and making the sound that the game makes so I thought, hmmmm,  I hit it out of the park!  Yay me and thank you Carol....

Ok I was in the grocery store lineup yesterday and saw this magazine in the stand and thought wow what pretty colors.  Then the inspiration hit me, (or maybe it was the melon rolling of the counter)  it looks like the new stamp set I just purchased from the Summer Mini....  I can make a card out of this no prob!!!  I came home and found the magazine cover on line and totally had fun last night making a card.
My inspiration!
Now for the card.  I used the Re-Inker spread technique for this card.  The colors used were Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, More Mustard re-inkers and Old Olive for the greenery in the back ground.  I used Shimmery White paper and White embossing powder.  Did a lot of cutting but it was so totally worth it.  I am in awe of this set for this technique.  I have just ordered some new re-inkers and can't wait to see how it would look with Poppy Parade re-inker.  lol.  Just look at the go-jusness of this card.  I mean really, I made it, but I am impressed with it.  YILM!
This card deserved two takes lol.  So I put Early Espresso behind it so it would stand out better.  Click on the photo for a closer look.
If you are interested in learning this technique just contact me and set up a class.  A poppy parade of hugs and kisses!

Don't Smile for the camera!

Good day Stampers!  Well I'm not long back from my last road trip.  I went to Burgeo.  Had a great afternoon there and met some lovely ladies.  This class was for all the wonderful volunteers there that help out on a daily basis at their school.  Their nutrition program is one of the best on the island and seeing so many faces at the table I can't help but think they are very special to give so much of their time and energy all year long to their community and school.  Congratulations ladies.   The ladies made two cards yesterday and    after the class we were fed a wonderful meal of salads and chicken and dessert.  These were provided by the teachers and the school to say thank you to all their volunteers.  Both Mary and I were given a really cute hat that was done by one of the ladies.   And then Mary and I drove back to Stephenville.   Mary Gaultois went with me and helped teach.  Thanks so much Mary for your help, I really enjoyed your company all day!Got back to S'Ville about 8:45pm and stayed at the O'Leary Hotel.  (My sister's place)  Got a great night sleep and back in prime condition today.

So I got home this morning and had to go and get my picture taken for a driving license cause my B-Day is May 12th and apparently this is the year for photo renewal.  Crap I hate getting my pic taken.  So as stated DON"T smile for the camera.  hahaha.  But I must say I was not too displeased with the final product.  I don't appear too old (or it could be that my eyesight is failing due to advancing age).

Well after all this I managed to get a card done very quickly to show you..  I purchased the new stamp set Fabulous Florets from the new Summer Mini that just came out.  I have another class tonight and this is the card I designed for them.

Because they are all newbies I needed a simple card done with random stamping.  This is a bright and colourful card and I love the simplicity of it.  The colors used are Pumpkin pie, Pear Pizzazz and Melon Mambo.  I channeled my inner Debbie Tipple (my friend who likes blindingly bright colors lol).  What do you all think?  Not much technique wise but a 10 min card that says it all.

I also have my DD's Birthday card done but can't post it until she gets it cause she checks out this blog from time to time.  Don't want to spoil the surprise but I think I hit it out of the park again this year.  This was last years card and she LOVED it so lots to live up to this year hahaha
Now I have to go and unpack and get ready for the next class.  Don't forget my Birthday BashPlace an order between May 11th - 13th and I'll pay the shipping and handling.

Also if you want to drop in to make a couple of cards on Thursday evening at my house and have cake just let me know.  I would love to play!

Flowery hugs for all!
